I wanted to share my thoughts....as a Real Estate Agent AND an Auctioneer.

First, I do not submit myself to an on-slaught of BASIC questions. These can be answered by simply visiting my website, reading my ads, etc.

My sales results, marketing structure, marketing experience is on my website for the world to see. If you type in "Real Estate Auctioneers" in Google, I rank #2 on the first page. Not bad for a local auctioneer in Rural Harford County Maryland. 

With that said, the phone calls I receive is, "I want or need to sell my home, what do I need to do next". Then I control the conversation from then on. They are looking to me as the expert to guide them to making the right choice for themselves and their family. Hopefully in the end, it becomes a Win-Win situation for everyone involved.

From a Realtor Standpoint, whether a Listing or Selling Agent, YOU have to take control from the start. YOU are the REALTOR, AGENT, BROKER, BUSINESS OWNER, MARKETING GURU, CHIEF COOK and BOTTLE WASHER! They have viewed your ads, visited your website, looked at your listings, read your marketing structures and promises, enjoyed your photo, etc.

IMO, very few people looking to sell or buy a home are armed with such questions that are listed in Teri's Blog. I have yet to come across anyone who has.
